Storage conditions of jelly glue
Published: 27/09/2024

Storage conditions for jelly glue are as follows:

I. Temperature

  • Jelly glue should be stored in a cool place. The suitable storage temperature is generally between 5℃ and 25℃. Too high a temperature may cause the jelly glue to soften, deteriorate, or even undergo chemical reactions, affecting its performance and use effect. Too low a temperature may make the jelly glue become too hard and difficult to operate when in use.

II. Humidity

  • The relative humidity of the storage environment should be controlled between 50% and 70%. Too high humidity is easy to make the jelly glue absorb moisture in the air, resulting in changes in its performance, such as reduced viscosity and extended curing time. At the same time, a high humidity environment may also cause the jelly glue to mold and deteriorate. While too low humidity may cause the moisture in the jelly glue to evaporate too quickly, making it dry and affecting its use.

III. Packaging requirements

  • Unopened jelly glue should keep the original packaging intact. Usually, jelly glue is packaged in plastic buckets, plastic bags or aluminum foil bags. These packaging materials can effectively block air, moisture and light, and protect the jelly glue from the influence of the external environment.

  • If the jelly glue has been opened and used, the remaining jelly glue should be sealed and stored as soon as possible. You can use plastic wrap, plastic bags, etc. to seal the opening well, or transfer the remaining jelly glue to a sealed container to prevent air and moisture from entering.

IV. Avoid light

  • Jelly glue should be stored in a place away from light. Ultraviolet and visible light in sunlight may cause photochemical reactions in jelly glue, resulting in a decline in its performance. Therefore, it is best to store jelly glue in a dark warehouse or cabinet to avoid direct sunlight.

V. Keep away from fire sources and heat sources

  • Jelly glue is a flammable item and should be stored away from fire sources and heat sources. Fire sources may cause jelly glue to burn, causing safety accidents. And heat sources will increase the temperature of the storage environment and affect the quality and performance of jelly glue. At the same time, avoid storing jelly glue near electrical equipment to prevent the heat generated by electrical equipment from affecting jelly glue.

VI. Avoid squeezing and collision

  • When storing jelly glue, avoid squeezing and colliding with it. The packaging of jelly glue may be damaged under squeezing and collision, resulting in leakage or deterioration of jelly glue. Therefore, jelly glue should be placed on a stable shelf and avoid being stacked with other heavy objects.
